Bailo was  founded as a wool and fabrics trader in the early 20’s.

In 1954 Bailo started manufacturing highly specialised quality mountain clothing.

Our offices are  located in the heart of the Alps, more precisely in Pieve Tesino in the north east of Italy, approximately 50 km from Trento.

Right from the first collection our company  has always applied  a simple rule: utilise the best and most innovative materials, as well as stunning and functional Italian design.

Bailo was one of the first European companies to utilise materials like GORETEX and fleece.

Bailo is one of  the top suppliers for the ENEA Antartic Programme (International Scientific Centre), selected regiments of the Italian Army, top ski schools and ski teams around the Alps. Our “High Altitude Expedition” clothing can be adapted and customised to respond to all specific requirements you may need.

The “Capanna Regina Margherita Mountain Lodge” located next to the summit of Monte Rosa (4559 mt) in the Italian Alps, is a very important weather station and research centre on the effects of the human body at a high altitude. The team of “Regina Margherita” has been using from many years the Bailo products.

Bailo uses this extremely unique location to exclusively test the new products and materials, through our mountain lab.
